At the end of Val Ridnaun visitors and hiker will find a beautiful gorge named after politician Burkhard. Starting point is the valley´s end in Maiern and the Burkhardklamm can be reached after a 45 minutes´ walk.
This historic path has been installed in 1899 but had decayed over the last decades. Hence, the local tourism board decided to lay out a new path following the old one to preserve this impressive spot. The wooden route (1,1 m wide) is 600 meters long and crossing the marvelous water cascade of Fernerbach, offering lovely scenery and impressive views.
