Peter Girtler, born in 1972 in Sterzing, South Tyrolean, married, two children, humorous and a great skier. That is the private Peter Girtler. But in his working life he stands out from the mass of restaurants and cooks through his unique talent, ambition and vision for his cooking. His unsurpassed fine taste and skills made him one of the big names in cooking.

On his way to excellence he passed various renowned stations like the Vital Hotel Royal in Seefeld, the Hotel Alpenkönig in Seefeld, the Hotel Castel in Dorf Tirol, the Hotel Laurin in Bozen or with the grand chef Heinz Winkler in Aschau. In 2004 he was awarded “newcomer of the year” by the “Besser Essen and Reisen” magazine and in 2006 he received an award as “Instructor of the year in South Tyrol.”

In 2016 Guide Michelin conferred Peter Girtler with his second star and he received three awards by Gault Millau (17 points) for Einhornstube and two awards (15 points) for Gasthofstube.
